Prizewinning American composer and mezzo-contralto Dawn K. Williams has written works for chamber ensembles, solo instruments and voice, orchestra, and electronic and film music. Her music has been played in North America, Europe, and Asia, and has been broadcast worldwide. Her vocal performances range from traditional opera and concert music to avant-garde and unaccompanied works with extended techniques. She holds degrees from the Indiana University-Bloomington School of Music.
