Autorenporträt
Lili Shi is an associate professor of communication studies at Kingsborough Community College of the City University of New York. Her research focuses on transnationalism and diaspora in Brooklyn Chinatowns, particularly maternal identities in lived experiences of transnational birthing. Yadira Perez Hazel is a cultural anthropologist. She completed her Ph.D in Cultural Anthropology at the University of Virginia, Charlottesville, and is the recipient of several national awards for her research including Fulbright, National Science Foundation, and Woodrow Wilson. Dr. Perez Hazel is currently an Honorary Fellow at Melbourne University working on contemporary articulations of Blak/Black Identity in Australia and its connection to community-building and resistance.
