Rosa James was born and raised in Kansas City Missouri. She was raised by her maternal grandparents until she was placed into foster care at age eleven. She was later adopted at age fourteen. Rosa recognized her passion to write at an early age. It started with journaling and freestyling short stories to her friends and family. When a relative gave her the book titled 'Petals on the Wind' by V.C Andrews she became an avid reader. The fiction drama piqued her interest. She began reading more and was inspired by authors Walter Mosley, Mary Monroe, Mary B. Morrison, Kwan, Ashley, and Jaquavis just to name a few. In her late teens Rosa wanted to write a book about her life. But later in her mid-twenties decided to start with fiction. However, during that time being a single parent, focusing on a better career, lack of education and resources posed obstacles. In the year 2021 her dream of becoming a published author came true when she published Loyal Snakes I and Harris I. Since then she has published Misuse Book of Stories, Harris II and Loyal Snakes II all urban fiction. Publishing books comes last to Rosa's greatest accomplishments of becoming a mother and graduating from college. In all her accomplishments Rosa was determined to sacrifice and beat the odds. While raising four children in the inner city. She wanted to show them that despite the circumstances you can achieve anything you want just by sacrificing and staying focus.
