Previous studies on Religious activities that constitute noise pollutant have concentrated on social and psychological effects with insignificant attention paid to its abatement measures. This was the gap this study filled. Therefore, the overall aim of this study was to assess of Lagos state policies against religious noise pollution with a view of suggesting possible solution in sustaining the good policies and remedy bad ones. This study adopted Durkheim's Functionalist Theory which presumes that religion has to play a good function of morality, orderliness, discipline and peace in the society. Data was collected through qualitative research method which is the interview and observation form of research. In- depth interviews were conducted with 30 randomly selected respondents. These people vary from heads of religious organisations, 7 Pastors and 5 Imams; The General Manager of Lagos State Environmental Protection Agency, LASEPA and 2 Personnel in the Agency; 2 Staffs at the Ministry of Environment in Lagos State; Clerk of Lagos State House of Assembly; 11 Residents that are directly affected by religious noise pollution and a Public Analyst.
