For more than two decades, the results of many studies have suggested that occupational stress is a major concern for companies on an individual and organisational level. The concept of work stress has been covering an increasingly large proportion of management studies, finding its way into the vocabulary of management. Stress management has become a critical issue for managers whose role is to produce value while reducing costs. To resolve this problem, measurement of the risks of professional stress represents one of the essential conditions of success A great deal of research has been carried out to build stress assessment tools. Some focused on personal stress and may lead to worker-focused stress management interventions with the aim of training employees to cope more effectively. Some others focused on the measurement of organisational stressors and may lead to more organisational- focused interventions, such as improving the definition of managerial roles.
