This research is a pre-pilot survey that preceded a pilot and a national learning readiness survey that was conducted in Jordan during the period 2004 to 2005 to assess Jordanian children's readiness to school. This research aimed at assessing the developmental variations among children who attended kindergarten and children who did not attend kindergarten; children from different socio- economic status (SES); children from different gender, and children coming from different areas of living (urban/rural).
