Produktbeschreibung
This book has set out a theoretical framework based on sustainable urban revitalization, and used this framework to propose a model for assessing the level of sustainability in historic urban quarters. It examines how the two key issues of urban conservation/revitalization and sustainability relate to each other in the context of historic urban quarters and how they can be used in the sustainable futures of historic urban areas. Therefore, the aim of this book to set up a model for assessing the level of sustainability of historic urban quarters and to prove the relationship between urban revitalization and sustainability, or in other words, to put the statement about how the revitalization of historic urban quarters would become sustainable. Depending on this aim and the model, a method for developing and selecting the site-specific sustainable revitalization indicators according to different indicator frameworks also are explained.
