Assessment is one of the key pillars in the delivery of effective medical education. Assessment is the only thing which makes Competency-based Medical Education different from the traditional curriculum. There is an indispensable need to strengthen assessment to ensure that we produce competent doctors who can meet the needs of the society. However, it requires a team effort to streamline the entire process of assessment and ensure that formative assessment is given more priority with the help of all the faculty members in the department.
