The main objective of this book is to evaluate the level of performance of export trade in Ethiopia from a Management Perspective. Special focus has been given to the systems view of management where the performance of export trade has been analyzed by identifying the major components involved in the input, transformation process, and output parts of the export sector. The issue of supply chain management has been considered duly in the study. The researcher believes that this is the first in its kind in its approach to deal with the problems of Ethiopian export trade (i.e., Management Perspective). The researcher also strongly believes that managing the Ethiopian export trade in an integrated manner can significantly improve its performance and can help make a difference. Moreover, in the epoch of globalization, Ethiopia should identify and/or create its competitive advantage so that it can have a positive sum game in the international as well as in the global markets. Improvingthe management of export trade also helps Ethiopia to take advantage of the economic integration opportunities such as COMESA, AGOA, EBA, and WTO in the near future.
