As it is known from historical data, the first land description of the Ustyurt Plateau territory was made in the second century by Claudius Ptolemy. And information about underground waters of the plateau was obtained much later. Until now we are still conducting research on the movement of underground waters and placement of minerals in the Ustyurt plain of the Republic of Karakalpakstan.
