Diabetic retinopathy is the most common eye disease and a leading cause of blindness in adults. It is caused by changes in the blood vessels of the retina. This cross-sectional study was designed to determine the role of IGF-1 in the patients of diabetic retinopathy from Services Hospital and Sheikh Zaid Hospital. Correlation analysis between sugar level and IGF-1 revealed that concentration of IGF-1 is directly proportion to sugar level that leads to the severity of diabetic retinopathy.
