Mulu Getahun has BA degree in Geography, another bachelorate in IT, and MA in governance specializing in urban planning. He has served in Hawassa City administration as advisor in the mayor's office for many years. He is currently chief of the IT department in the Bureau of Urban Development in the South Ethiopia Regional State administration.
