A study on the evaluation of professional competences of university students is presented. A didactic model is offered that interprets from the pedagogical sciences the realization of this process and a strategy is offered to the teachers to follow for its instrumentation in the educational practice. Examples of evaluative instruments in the Systems Engineering career are shown. This book is the result of a doctoral thesis in pedagogical sciences carried out in Ecuador, defended at the University of Holguin, Cuba in 2017, but with the difference of offering the university teaching community a broader and more generalized vision (that serves to any university career) of how to carry out this evaluative process.
