The purpose of this study was to determine what the risks are that event stakeholders and event managers in Cape Town encounter, and what management techniques and approaches are implemented to contribute effectively and efficiently towards minimizing or preventing these risks from continuously occurring. Extensive research shows that there are no specific risk management systems established for the Event Industry in Cape Town.The aim of this study is to investigate the management and effective use of these risks, since proper tools and techniques are important within the event organization. This book focuses on current risk management trends that hamper the Event Industry in Cape Town. One of the major risks that the Event Industry experiences much difficulty with, is public liability insurance, as well as corporate governance. This book targets all event stakeholders involved in the events industry including academics and would be beneficial to them in future.
