The methodology used for the development of the work was based on bibliographic research, field visits, photographic records, satellite images as well as the use of fundamental methodologies in the evaluation of environmental impacts: checklist method, ad hoc method and interaction matrix. The georeferencing of the study area was carried out using the Qgis software. With the use of this program it was possible to delimit the study areas of influence in: directly affected area, area of direct influence and area of indirect influence; each one affected by the activities of the landfill, with different degrees and characteristics. To describe the conditions of the study area, a simplified environmental diagnosis was developed, taking into consideration the physical, biotic, and anthropic environments of the municipality. Then, the adverse environmental impacts were evaluated and environmental control measures were proposed to reduce them.
