Descriptive and retrospective study of the methods of management of phimosis in children by general practitioners in Midi-Pyrenees. 300 questionnaires were distributed by post. The standardised questionnaire included 19 questions related to the clinical examination and management of child phimosis. The answers were analysed 1 month after the date of sending. Results: 168 physicians completed the questionnaire. The selection of doctors in this study appeared to be representative of the Midi-Pyrénées doctor population in comparison with the data of the National Council of the Order. 95.3% of the doctors declared that they were treating children with phimosis. 41.3% of the doctors questioned did not use dermocorticoids in the treatment of preputial adhesions in children. 34.35% of the physicians surveyed were performing preputial adhesion release manoeuvres in their offices. Only 42.3% of the physicians surveyed felt sufficiently informed on the subject of child phimosis.
