The general aim of this study was to evaluate the resistance to fusariosis and the tolerance to water stress of some oil palm (Elaeis guineensis ) genotypes. Six populations of oil palm hybrids in the form of pre-germinated seeds constitute the plant material used: A114 (G1), A230 (G2), A120 (G3), A146 (G4), A263 (G5) and A229 (G6). The experimental set-up comprises a total of five randomised blocks. Each block is made up of four elementary plots where the six (06) selected genotypes are represented by five (05) pots each. The trial is factorial (Watered-Fusarium; Watered-Non-Fusarium;…mehr

The experimental set-up comprises a total of five randomised blocks. Each block is made up of four elementary plots where the six (06) selected genotypes are represented by five (05) pots each. The trial is factorial (Watered-Fusarium; Watered-Non-Fusarium; Non-Watered Fusarium and Non-Watered Non-Fusarium) and comprises six hundred (600) pots. The data were collected over five weeks. At each weekly sampling, two types of data are collected: -Qualitative: consisting of the observation of stressed plants showing symptoms characteristic of fusariosis. -Quantitative: counting the number of leaves and roots, as well as measuring the length of leaves and roots and the diameter of bulbs.
