Recent literature raises the specter of "warrior societies" and questions if we are prepared to face them in battle. Looking back at American history, the American Indians were a warrior society that posed many asymmetrical challenges for European and American militaries. In particular, their individual skills, methods of fighting, and societal culture produced asymmetries that are still relevant today.
