Firouz Gaini is Associate Professor of Anthropology at the University of the Faroe Islands. He is currently a postdoctoral researcher at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (2013-2015).He is the author of several books, including 'Lessons of Islands' (2013). He has done fieldwork in Southern France, Faroe Islands and Greenland.
