Autorenporträt
Robert S. Paul was Professor of Modern Church History at the Pittsburgh Theological Seminary, a post which he assumed in the fall of 1967. Educated at Oxford University, he held parish posts, attended the first assembly of the World Council of Churches, and was Associate Director of the Graduate School of Ecumenical Studies in Switzerland. From 1958 to 1967, Dr. Paul was Waldo Professor of Church History at Hartford Seminary Foundation. He was the author of 'The Lord Protector', a biography of Oliver Cromwell, 'Ministry', and several scholarly essays, including contributions to the Encyclopedia Britannica and 'Weltkirchenlexicon'.
