Born in Jerusalem in 1941, MD from Hebrew University, specialist in internal medicine and infectious diseases. Participated in many missions in the developing world, disaster relief and medical education. Ran the Infectious Diseases Institute and the AIDS clinic in Beer Sheva, Israel.
