Public library is a very important social institution. It plays a significant role in the development of the society, it is considered as community information centers providing access to a wide range of knowledge and information for the benefit of the individual and society as a whole. The present work entitled Attitudes of Young Adults towards Public Library Services in Karnataka is presented in eight chapters. The study is limited to the young Adult Public Library (YAPL) users in Karnataka between 15 to 40 years of age. The Structured questionnaire was used for collecting data from the users by using random sampling method. The main objectives of the study encompass the attitudes of YAPL users towards the services, activities and functions of public libraries. Both negative and positive implications on the library services are measured using Likert Scale, after perusing the results of the study it is concluded that the users impressions about the library services and activities are highly appreciable. However the overall perceptions, impression, opinions and experiences of YAPL users towards public library services in Karnataka are positive.
