Local authors Sean Joiner and Gerald J. Smith pay homage to the people-past and present-who have played an instrumental role in the achievements of the African-American community of Augusta. Joiner, a local cultural enthusiast, and Smith, a retired English professor at Paine College, are proud to present this pictorial celebration of history and heritage.
