Augustin Ka oti was a Croatian humanist, a medieval Christian monk, an orator and the bishop of Zagreb. He was one of the first humanist figures to appear in southern Croatia. Ka oti was born around 1260 in Trogir, and has been able to complete his studies in Paris during the year of 1287. He was eventually named Bishop of Zagreb in 1303 and from that position he established a school and a library that was under possession of the town clergy.
