The brain disorders are very challenging to treat in efficient way. The common CNS disorders like epilepsy yet is poorly treated disease. The CNS disorder treatment is not efficient as compared to other diseased area therapy. The great hurdle in designing the brain targeted drug delivery system is blood brain barrier. So as per the advancement of researches one of the strategy by developing the different formulations has been used. In this review article the research work on novel approach for targeting the drug to brain by administering through the ear route. But now days as per the patient's compliance for his significant treatment with economical point of views it is the challenge in front of researchers to investigate a novel platform for targeting the drug in efficient manner to brain with minimum dose, minimum short term as well as long term adverse effects maximum bioavailability, significant concentration in brain and maximum patient compliance. So the above challenges can be faced by selecting the ear as novel route for brain targeting and fulfilling all the needs for the treating epilepsy in significant and economical way up to the maximum level. Thus ear can be selected as a novel platform for delivering the drug to target the CNS.
