Autorenporträt
My name is Betty May Winter and I write under the name of Elizabeth May Winters. I was born in Brisbane, Queensland, Australia on the 29th of October 1949 and was a Lyddy before I married in 1971 becoming a Winter. In 1997 I graduated from Central Queensland University with a Bacholer of Arts degree and majors in Drama and communications. I moved to Rockhampton in central queensland. After living there for 21years my family and I moved in 2000 to a property in Tingoora which in the South Burnett Area of Queensland. Tingoora is an Aboriginal name meaning place of Wattle Trees and we cretainly have plenty of them. We regularly visit Wooroolin, Wondai, Murgon and Kingaroy on shopping days. These are all Aboriginal names Wooroolin is 'Place of water', Wondai is;Place pf wild dingoes', Murgon is the 'Place of waterlillies', and Kingaroy is 'Red Ant'. The real wild animals that I write about in my stories come from these areas. I published my first book 'FairyLand' in 2007 and although they were written for children I found that adults liked to read them too, These stories are for everyone who enjoys reading. Enjoy"
