Prof. Hubert Rampersad, PhD., MSc., BSc., is an authority on governance, leadership and human performance management. He holds a PhD. in Management, an MSc in Technology Engineering, and BSc. in Mechanical Engineering from leading universities in the Netherlands. He has been in banking since 1970 and held number of senior positions in the sector such as CEO of banks and deputy chairman of the Bahrain Bankers Society. He is a successful author and leading expert on corporate governance. He has authored a number of books on the subjects of corporate governance, social responsibility and management. Hislatest books are Corporate Governance: Middle Eastern Perspective (2007); Corporate Governance: Quantity Versus Quality, Middle Eastern Perspective (2009); and Corporate Governance: A Guide for Boards and Senior Executives towards Implementing Corporate Governance in Bahraini Companies (2011). He is a regular keynote speaker at conferences inside and outside Bahrain on corporate governance. He is the president of Saleh Hussain Consultancy, through which he provides training and consulting in this field.
