The aim of this research project was to collect information regarding teachers' attitudes towards the use of authentic materials in the language classroom and to find out their opinions and experiences of using such materials in language teaching. The data gathered in this study indicates that the teachers have a positive attitude towards using authentic materials in the language classroom and are enthusiastic about using them. The results strongly suggest that the use of authentic materials is greatly valued by the teachers questioned in this study and they are aware of the benefits of incorporating authentic materials in a language class. The study also revealed that there are some challenges associated with their use. In light of the findings some recommendations are offered for teachers to ease their use in class.
