In this day and age, it's so important to let children know it's okay to be authentically yourself! Mary Nhin was inspired to write this due to her own struggles as a kid to accept her differences as a female minority growing up in a predominantly white city. She also struggled with her unique capabilities as a neurodivergent. With suicide rates amongst children increasing, her hope is that children are empowered to love themselves just as they are and she hopes they realize they are imperfectly perfect! In a world with so much to do and see, There's someone I adore, and that is me! With a twinkle in my eye and a skip in my feet, I dance to the rhythm of my own beat. Some days I'm full of cheer, Other days, there are things I fear. I speak my truth and sing a song, In this world, I do belong! Life is hard! It's even harder for children who are just trying to figure things out.
