Proper segmentation is one of the main issue of image evaulation and steps order differs from task to task, depending on input images. Basic terms and methods of image processing and analysis are introduced in this work. For reaching information about cell sphericity, several approaches are applied, including filtration, details emphasizing, and segmentation techniques. Sequence of selected algorithms and journey for searching them is described in details.
Autorenporträt
Dr. Jan Urban has obtained his MSc in Cybernetics in 2005, and his PhD in Biophysics in 2010. Since 2005 he is working at University of South Bohemia in the field of systems theory, mainly in mass spectrometry, image analysis, and information entropy.
