Sensorimotor control refers to the use of sensory information for movement execution. This work focuses on the online control of our movement during the execution of manual target pointing motor tasks. After a review of the literature on this subject, two experiments allowing to determine the part of automaticity in this process are described. Their results allow us to conclude that the initiation of this online control process would be triggered automatically while its adjustment would then be regulated with a lesser degree of automaticity and adapted to the environment.
