Otavio Silvaston Fonseca, an agronomist, began his work at GEMAF - the Environmental Interaction and Plant Nutrition Physiology Study Group, at the Department of Soils and Environmental Resources, under the supervision of Prof Dr Helio Grassi Filho and Dr Antonio Ribeiro da Cunha, at the Faculty of Agronomic Sciences in Botucatu.
