In Algeria, thousands of road accidents are recorded every year. This high accident rate is due to a number of factors. The aim of this research is to determine the statistical relationship between the number of road accidents (dependent variable) and the twelve candidate variables (independent variables). The study was carried out using SPSS software on a study sample of 30,000 motor insurance contracts underwritten by SAA. The econometric analysis of this sample reveals that motor claims experience is explained by several variables relating respectively to the vehicle and to the human being.
