Teaching Translation and Translators Training methods are developing and changing with all the advancements in technology making information access easier and faster nowadays. Moreover, students are becoming more interested in autonomous learning since the Internet became an essential part of their lives. The study in this book presents a comparison between conventional methods and autonomous learning in teaching translation courses in Saudi Arabia. The results of the study showed that autonomous learning had a positive impact on the performance of the students.

Sarah Ahmad Al Shubaily is a lecturer at the English Language and Translation Department / College of languages and translation at King Saud University. She chieved the Master¿s degree in Applied Linguistics from the College of Arts at K.S.U. She is currently a PhD student/ 3rd year majoring in Translation Studies at the University of Birmingham
