Wilhelmina "Mena" Prescott, was at a crossroad in her life. Behind her were strained family relationships and her husband's affair. Ahead she could only see two possibilities for her future. Remaining in her unhappy marriage, or moving forward alone. But upon the unexpected death of her grandfather, a third road appeared to a long forgotten cottage on Brandford Beach. By way of a letter delivered to her on the day of his funeral, Mena's grandfather made a request for her to go to his cottage and gather up his precious belongings. Needing some time to think about her future, Mena decided to start down this newly available third path. But as she headed down 95 from Connecticut to Delaware, she couldn't possibly have known that her grandfather's letter wasn't quite as simple as it seemed. He had not only given her ownership of his beloved cottage, but also the chance to revisit her past. Rediscover the grandfather that she hadn't known since she was a child, through his cards, letters, and the people of Brandford Beach that loved him the most, including the kind and handsome Chase Harper. That Autumn in Brandford her grandfather, and his gift of a third road, had given her a chance to heal, and the chance to see a future she never would have thought possible.
Autorenporträt
Lyn Corvet has been writing for her own enjoyment, and that of friends and family, for most of her life. It wasn't until the Covid shutdown that she entertained the thought of actually self publishing one of her many stories. Her approach to writing is simply to provide a literary escape for readers. Something that writing has always been for her. She is a fan of the happy ending, but takes time to explore the emotional journeys that lead from pain to joy, and the relationships that help support the characters throughout that journey. Lyn cites her own most important relationships as the ones she has with her two amazing daughters, and her sister/best friend that instilled in hera love of music and books at an early age. That love has only grown with time and is probably why you'll always find music to be a main character in any of Lyn's novels.
