Handscroll; Ink on paper; 462cm(width)*22cm(height) This painting depicts pine trees spread across valleys, mountains, and water. Starting from the beginning, luxuriant pine trees are intercepted by water, forming four isolated islands. On the first three islands, the pine trees shoot up with layers of needles. On the last, the pine trees are hidden in the mist and can only be partially seen.

Autor

He Hao, renowned court painter of the Ming Dynasty, was known for his paintings of pine trees. There were three court painters in Guangdong Province in the Ming Dynasty, including Lin Liang and He Hao. Like Lin, He's work was recorded in the Anthology of Chinese Artistic Works.
