There are numerous papers on various aspects of avian haemosporidioses. Corina Sonnberger was born in Vienna/Austria. During her academic studies of veterinary medicine with a focus on Conservation Medicine she was working at an animal clinic and finished some further education in physiotherapy and osteopathy for dogs. Additionally, she completed a Field Guide course in South Africa to learn more about its wildlife.
