"Still My Word Sings ist in vielerlei Hinsicht eine bedeutende Errungenschaft. Erstens hinsichtlich der Auswahl und der neuen Übersetzungen, und besonders wegen Sutzkevers Vortrag über Poesie. Das ist ein Vorbild, wie man die nahezu unangetasteten Schätze des Jiddischen nutzen kann, die Dank des Projekts der Digitalisierung jiddischer Tonaufnahmen des Yiddish Book Center zugänglich gemacht wurden. Zweitens ist Heather Valencias bedeutende Übersicht über Sutzkevers Leben und Schaffen sehr hilfreich für jeden, der sich mit seinem Werk vertraut machen möchte. Und drittens gebührt dem Verlag der Universität Düsseldorf großer Dank für das Herausgeben eines so wichtigen Buches auf Jiddisch und Englisch.
