'If you wake up to your immortality, which is beyond time, space, and causality, you resolve, at a stroke, all your existential problems.' These words of Raphael form the quintessential message of this collection of articles which he wrote over a number of years in relation to pathways of realization. Raphael presents the traditional Teaching from a purely metaphysical perspective and invariably expresses himself in terms of the Unity of the Tradition. Raphael shows us how to transcend all types of 'dogmatic sectarianism' by recognizing that the different Branches are nothing but expressions of the single Reality underlying every genuinely traditional Teaching. Only through a vision transcending the 'part' can we comprehend the Whole. Only from a higher perspective can we include and comprehend that which is lower or individual. Only the metaphysical perspective embraces Being and non-being by going beyond both. This necessarily involves a transformation of our thoughts, feelings, and actions.
Autorenporträt
Raphael is a Master in the Western Metaphysical Tradition. He has written several books on the pathway of Non-duality (Advaita). He has also translated a number of key Ved¿nta texts from the Sanskrit and provided his own commentaries. Raphael interprets spiritual practice as a 'Pathway of Fire', which disciples follow in all branches of the Tradition; it is the 'Way of Return'. All disciples follow their own 'Path of Fire' in accordance with that branch of the Tradition to which they belong. According to Raphael, what is important is to express, through living and being, the truth that one has been able to contemplate. Thus, for all beings, their expression of thought and action must be coherent and in agreement with their own specific dharma. After more than 60 years of Teaching, in both oral and written format, Raphael withdrew into mah¿sam¿dhi. May Raphael's Consciousness, an expression of the Unity of Tradition, guide and illumine along this Opus all those who donate their mens informalis (a-formal mind) to the attainment of the highest known Realisation.
