My book is regarding the awareness of generic drugs and government promotional activities with special reference to Jalgaon district in Maharashtra, India. The book presents the awareness of generic drugs within three respondent categories. The first one is consumer, second one is Doctor and third one is Pharmacists who deliver the medicine in India.It deals with the Indian Pharmaceutical industry overview, introduction of generic drugs, research area. Secondly it deals with the review of literature related to the research topic. From review of literature the research gap is identified and it helped the author to frame research objective. Nextly the book represents the research methodology consisting of the research design, sampling method, sampling size and methods of data collection. In the next chapter, the author presents Government policies and strategies to promote the use of generic drugs. After the analysis of data, the data interpretation and suggestions are drawn.
