Many Children in Ethiopia are victims of neglect and abuse due to political, socioeconomic, cultural as well as familial factors.Though the country has different child right laws and ratified UN Convention on Right of a Child, African Charter on the Right and Welfare of the Child, it has only been few decades since child right issues have surfaced and dealt in an organized manner. In Ethiopia many factors call for the need to media outlet that target children on awareness creation of child right. Hence, this book explores effectiveness of Children s Right Pictorial Booklet ;one of the very few media outlets in Ethiopia with a wider outreach. It employs reception analysis of children with an objective to learn the meaning they make out of the magazine. The analysis uses a qualitative method to study the frame of interpretation children bring to bear in their use of the magazine. It aims to give basic information on children s right media outlet to governmental and non governmental organizations working on child right and related issues. It is also expected to benefit all stakeholders including media professionals, researchers and families.
