E-waste causes serious hazard to human health and environment. According to Global E-waste Monitor 2017 data India ranks fourth in generation of E-waste. In India, Maharashtra ranks first with highest electronic generating city Mumbai. Karnataka ranks seventh with third highest e-waste generating city Bangalore. E-waste or electronic waste refers to old electrical and electronic equipment that have reached the end of their life which contains numerous toxins. If not disposed in an appropriate manner can cause environmental pollution and health hazards. Proper recycling of e-waste can help ensure that these resources are extracted from e-waste while the toxins are disposed responsibly.
