Zakir Husain Khan was an Indian educationist and politician who served as the third president of India from 13 May 1967 until his death on 3 May 1969. Husain wrote extensively in Urdu and also translated several books into that language. Husain wrote several stories for children which he published under a nom de plume. These include Uqab aur Doosri Kahaniyan and stories translated into English.
