This book presents the investigation about the pedagogical project of the Undergraduate Course in Music: Licenciatura, of the State University of Rio Grande do Sul (UERGS), which lasted from 2006 to 2019, investigating the characteristics of an artist/teacher, from what is expressed in the pedagogical project of the Undergraduate Course in Music: Licenciatura of UERGS. As methodology, the research was marked by the qualitative approach, by the documentary research as a method, having as technique for data collection the collection of documents. The analyzed document was the pedagogical project of the course under analysis. The conclusion of this research discussed the graduate profile of the course, presented in its pedagogical project as artist/teacher, or teacher/musician. It also dealt with the construction of this document, evaluating it according to the current legislation and pointing out some gaps in it. It is hoped, with this work, to contribute to the curricular reformulation of the degree course in music of UERGS and other higher education institutions, as well as to the advancement in the area of Music Education.
