Francis B. Burns has held a variety of leadership positions throughout his career, ranging from leading at the platoon level to an Army garrison. He has served both stateside and overseas, twice at the Pentagon, and has served for over thirty months on two combat tours in Iraq. He currently serves as Department of Army Civilian at the U.S. Army Installation Management Command, located at Fort Sam Houston, TX. He also served as Principal, Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic School in Selma, TX, where he led and ran the 501 c (3) non-profit school, and is a certified Emotional Intelligence (EQ-i2.0) Practitioner. He recently completed a City - County Management Senior Fellowship with the city of Austin, TX.He holds Masters Degrees in Strategic Studies from the College of Naval Warfare and in Teaching from Fairleigh Dickinson University, and a Bachelor's Degree in Political Science from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst, with Minors in both Latin and Philosophy, and is a member of Eta Sigma Phi (National Honorary Society of Classical Studies).Most importantly, he is a Christian, has been married for over 29 years, and together they have raised three children.
