This book introduces background knowledge and Graphic Organizers as two learning and teaching strategies that can help EFL learners to improve their listening comprehension.Using graphic organizers and background knowledge can be useful materials in order to raise up the learners' listening comprehension rate and quality. The purpose of this book is to investigate whether the use of diagrams and images as one kind of Graphic Organizers and the activation of background knowledge on EFL learners' listening comprehension.The results provided support for the theoretical and pedagogical value of graphic organizers and background knowledge in listening comprehension classes.The results also indicated that graphic organizers are the most powerful instructional strategy that predisposes listening comprehension.It also may provide interesting activities in a different classroom setting. Teachers and syllabus designers can apply the results of this book interesting and use them in their classroom.
