Can you imagine a dream sweeter than one filled with treats and magic? Have you ever danced with gingerbread? Baked In welcomes readers to slide into a bountiful dreamscape filled with wonder, dancing gingerbread, an infinite selection of confections! Dreamers, young and old, will love being tossed into a mix of pop-art style illustration and lyrical storytelling that takes them on a delicious journey. Baked In is part of The Dreamscape Series, which is a collection of picture books that celebrates inclusiveness. No matter our gender, race, or cultural differences, everyone dreams. Through playful verse and imagery, the books introduce new words and information that strengthen vocabulary, language, and reading skills while exploring a colorful dreamscape (the environment of the book's dream). Each dreamscape is built around rhyming stanzas that capture the fluid nature of dreaming, increase word retention, and continually engage the reader. Refreshing our point of view and exploring dreamscapes can lead to great self-discoveries, inviting the worlds of our dreams to come alive. Dreams are boundless as is our imagination and ability to be compassionate humans. To keep the dream alive, check out Origami Orchestra, which is also part of Elliott's The Dreamscape Series.Hinweis: Dieser Artikel kann nur an eine deutsche Lieferadresse ausgeliefert werden.
I've been telling stories my whole life. I've always found wonder in creating something, and really believe we are all artists in our own way. I decided, when I was five (I'm not kidding), that I was going to be a writer, so I've literally worked my whole life toward that goal. I attended Ohio University and graduated with my B.A. in English. From there, I wanted to take my love of words even further, so set off to England for my M.A. where else should someone study English than in England, right? While there, I launched a creative writing magazine for the university with the help of a colleague, and I also created a free after-school program through the English Department so I could teach poetry and creative writing to underprivileged children. After acquiring my Master's in Literary Theory as well as Contemporary Literature and Film, I came back to the U.S. and began looking for my next adventure. I spent 13 years working in the private aviation industry and honed my writing skills in a variety of positions from technical writing to communications and business standards, to global editor and writer to content management. I grew up loving to read, especially The Berenstein Bears books. I have always dreamed of writing my own series, and creating The Dreamscape Series (which were inspired by my daughter) have led me to meet such incredible artists in Columbus, Ohio, like Travis McCoy, who brings my books to life with his illustrations. I've been working on my Dreamscape Series books for years-inspired by my own daughter-and have met such incredible artists in Columbus, Ohio, like Travis McCoy, that led me to bring my books to life.
