Dr. Angelyn (Angel) Mesman grew up in Pearl River, Louisiana, and taught in elementary schools in the hometown for 25+ years. She earned her doctorate in Educational Leadership from Southeastern Louisiana University. She is an ordained minister for the Assemblies of God. Dr. Mesman has been the principal of a small Christian school in Slidell for 5 years. Her first book, Rudolph Remembers: Stories of a Small Town in the Early 1900s was co-authored with her husband, Dan, in 2020. She has six children and nine grandchildren. Dr. Mesman has been married to her husband, Dan, for thirty-one years. Dan Mesman, who is the co-author, is a native of New Orleans, Louisiana. He is a talented musician and ordained minister for the Assemblies of God.
