This book is a research conducted on the effects of domestic labour on job performance in general, sufficient attention has not been devoted to the relationship between domestic labour and job performance of female health workers in Nigeria. Combining unpaid domestic labour and wage labour has proved to be really difficult for the womenfolk, especially as it affects not only their career prospect but their mental and physical wellbeing. This study therefore examined domestic labour and job performance of female health workers. The exploratory research study design was adopted and guided by the social role theory. The study adopted a cross-sectional survey and utilized the quantitative and qualitative research techniques in gathering primary data. The study revealed that domestic labour in various ways affect the job performance of female health workers generally and also relative to their marital occupational status as well as leading to a conflict of interest in their domestic and paid employment. Against these findings, the study therefore recommends that men should change their behaviour and for parity to be reached between men and women.
