C. Warren Vander Hill is the University Distinguished Professor of Environmental Studies and professor of history at Ball State University. He has done extensive research and writing on Muncie as the nation's Middletown. Anthony O. Edmonds, professor of history at Ball State University, is co-author of Ball State University: An Interpretive History.
